Hideaway Bins

A bin with a spice box is a great way to use a small cupboard. This is the place to put bags of rice, dried beans, popcorn and other similar foods. The storage areas in this box can be hopped out and used as serving trays. This type of box should have strong slides so it can weigh heavier. Staving plates in an armoire with drawers are the perfect way to keep them at hand. They are easier to reach and the weight of the plates is less likely to affect the box. The plates can be stacked vertically between adjustable studs in a deep cabinet box or horizontally in a wider, deeper box

Corner Rack Drawer

The corner is often an inaccessible place so small armoire with drawers using this space is ideal. One type of box has a hinge less door that pulls out and turns. This gives room for a rear basket and metal shelves to stow objects. Look for a box with a slide that extends all the way out when the boxes are opened for a full view of the content.

Under sink

This box is perfect for organizing items that often become unorganized and difficult to reach under the sink. This cabinet can come with two drawers. The top box is smaller with trays for fungi and mushrooms. A bottom box provides room for cleaning and recycling vessels. The key to making cabinet boxes is to first determine the rolling unit you want to use. Some do not require much of a difference between the opening for the box and the drawer itself. One of the most common systems used is called “KV”, which is a term used for a rail and rolling system.

Duke saw the fence at 3 inches. Rip as many pieces as needed for the back of the drawers.  Cut as many pages as required. Then cut as many fronts and spines as needed. Keep in mind that they fit between the pages. For each box, you should have two sides and a front of 3½-inch material and one back from 3-inch material.
